Tree Lowering by trusted tree surgeons in Llandudno Junction

When a tree becomes too high and starts to cause problems such as blocking out sunlight or growing into its surroundings then you need a “tree lowering”.

This is a term sometimes used but is more commonly known as crown reduction. This is the process of reducing the height of a tree and re-shaping it to fit more appropriately into its surrounds. Whether you have a single tree or multiple trees, we can help you with crown lowering.

Local Tree Lowering Services in Llandudno Junction

Here at D. Roberts & Son, we are experienced, qualified and professional tree surgeons who understand how to carry out crown lowering whilst maintaining a healthy tree and the local environment.

When it comes to professional tree care and maintenance, one crucial practice often overlooked is dead wood removal. Dead wood poses various risks to both the tree, people living nearby or going for walks in the surrounding environment. Professional arborists such as D Roberts & Son, play a pivotal role in safeguarding the health and safety of trees and the people who live around them.

Dead wood is not just unsightly; it can also indicate underlying health issues within the tree. Fungi, pests, and diseases often thrive in dead wood, and if left untreated, these problems can spread to healthy parts of the tree. Regular dead wood removal promotes tree health, reducing the risk of diseases and infestations and ensuring the longevity of the tree.

Storm damaged trees Llandudno Junction

Storms can cause various types of damage to trees, including broken branches, uprooted trees, leaning trees and split trunks.

Regular tree maintenance, such as pruning and inspection, can help reduce the risk of storm damage. Well-maintained trees are often more resilient to high winds and heavy precipitation.

In cases where a storm-damaged tree is beyond repair or poses a significant safety risk, tree removal may be necessary. Professional arborists like D Roberts & Son have the equipment and expertise to safely remove large trees while preventing risk.

Tree felling Llandudno Junction

Sometimes a tree reaches a point where removal is the only safe option, whether due to disease, decay, storm damage beyond repair, or its position too close to buildings, boundaries or power lines. Tree felling is a skilled and potentially hazardous task that should never be attempted without the right training and equipment.

Professional arborists such as D Roberts & Son assess each tree carefully before deciding on the safest method, whether that means straight felling in open ground or dismantling the tree section by section in tighter, more built-up spaces. Every job takes into account the tree's condition, surrounding structures, and the safety of people and property nearby.

It is also worth remembering that many trees are protected by Tree Preservation Orders or fall within conservation areas, meaning council permission is required before any felling takes place. A reputable tree surgeon will check for these restrictions and handle the necessary applications, ensuring the work is carried out legally as well as safely.
